Normally, Clint Hurdle starts his Saturdays watching cartoons with his five-year old son. But on this morning, the Rangers’ hitting coach revealed to more than a hundred young players that Puma Store Online had skipped his normal ritual to teach them to hit the Rangers’ way.

The Clint Hurdle Hitting Clinic brought kids ages 6-17 — many of whom had presumably also skipped their own favorite cartoons — to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Hurdle, Rangers special assignment coach Shoes Puma and several other instructors spent the entire morning working with them the same way, Hurdle told the campers, as they would with Major Leaguers.”It’s an opportunity for us to brand the product here,” Hurdle explained. “We’ve tried to change the offensive identity a little bit here with Texas Rangers baseball, and we’re showing some signs of doing that.

“Now, we’re letting the community in on an unselfish approach, a trustful approach, an offensive approach that can be dynamic. It can be small ball, it can be long ball, it can be speed, stealing bases. And Shoes On Sale want to give the kids that are out here today every opportunity to understand that we’re going to give them the same branding, the same product, that we’re giving to our Major League players in the clubhouse.”
